Małgorzata Czystowska-Kuźmicz

Dr Małgorzata Czystowska-Kuźmicz graduated from the Faculty of Biology, Heinrich-Heine University in Duesseldorf, Germany in 2001. She received her doctoral degree (PhD)in natural sciences in 2006 from the Department. of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Heinrich-Heine University. In the years 2001-2005 she worked as a research assistant at the Laboratory of Molecular Genetics, Dept. of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Heinrich-Heine University. She was involved in research projects of the German Cancer Aid Study and the German Human Genome Project. In the years 2006-2009 she was employed as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Department of Pathology, University of Pittsburgh Cancer Institute, Pennsylvania. The following three years she spent on parental leave. Currently she is member of prof. Jakub Gołab’s research group under the BASTION program.
Dr Małgorzata Czystowska-Kuźmicz research interest includes mechanisms of tumor-mediated immune suppression  and cancer immunotherapies (cytokines, vaccines). She is the author or co-author of several scientific publications in peer-review, high ranking journals (Cell Growth and Differentiation, Clinical Cancer Research, Cancer Immunology and Immunotherapy, Journal of Biological Chemistry, Cancer Research, Oncogene, PloS One, Journal of Molecular Medicine). She is a of the American Association for Cancer Research and of the International Society of Biological Therapy of Cancer.
