Team leaders biograms

Tomasz Stoklosa works as assistant professor in the Department of Immunology at the Medical University of Warsaw. He completed his postdoctoral research at Temple University in Philadelphia – he was awarded with Oncology Research Faculty Development Program Fellowship from the National Cancer Institute. In 2009, he received a UICC Yamagiwa-Yoshida Memorial International Cancer Study Grant for a short-term project related to hematooncology and drug resistance in leukemia. His publication track includes 49 original research papers with more than 1000 citations (Hirsch index=22). He received numerous awards including the Foundation for Polish Science Award for young researchers, scientific awards of Ministry of Health and Social Welfare in Poland (2005, 2008, 2012), several scientific awards of the Rector of the Medical University of Warsaw and The Tomasz Jakub Michalski Foundation award for young scientific researchers whose work helps advance the fight against cancer (2008). Since 2006, he is a member of the American Society of Hematology, he is also a member of the Polish Society of Hematology and Blood Transfusion and the European Hematology Association. He worked as an independent expert reviewer for the Ministry of Science and Higher Education and as a panel expert in the grant review committee in National Science Center. Beside teaching duties, his research is focused on hematooncology and pharmacogenetics with modern genetic screening tools.
